So, how does Honda LaneWatch™ work? Similar to the Blind Spot Monitoring system, Honda LaneWatch™ uses a camera installed below the right passenger-side mirror to display your blind spot on the center cockpit screen. When the roads around Midland, this system works as a second pair of eyes to prevent sideswiping another vehicle. While the system can bring ease to your trips around town, it should be a substitute for your own monitoring of your surroundings. It just serves as an enhancement.
Turning on the Honda LaneWatch™ is as simple as flipping your right turn signal. The system activates and starts displaying the video feed of your blind spot when on the road around Odessa. Once you’ve checked for yourself if the coast is clear, you can check the screen to confirm you’re able to switch lanes.
The Honda LaneWatch™ system can also be activated by pushing the button on the end of the turn signal post. Keep in mind that it won’t turn on your right turn signal, but simply activates Honda LaneWatch™. To turn it off, press the button again.
